Apart from that, the alcohol kills your protective skin bacteria. Why the fuck would you do that?
Most I've seen this year has been ethyl alcohol, but the point about skin absorption is still valid. Not good for kiddies. Also any alcohol degrades your skin oils and weakens the barrier qualities.
Yes, you should use sanitizer as infrequently as possible, choosing soap, water & friction instead. The alcohol compromises skin integrity, creating more/new entry points for bacteria. It has it's place...but not as the primary one.
