I have tried three times to create an account and it is supposed to send a verification code to my email but it never gets there. Not in spam either.

Went ahead and did that, now it says either 'registration is closed' or I have exceeded my limit for that activity for the day.

I suppose they are getting flooded with bots and trolls.

I didn't get the email the first time, so I clicked the button saying that I didn't get an email and to resend. It worked then.
