I think Israel (mossad) threw its own people under the bus for the sake of self preservation and cleaning out their closet in exchange for being added to Centcom. Israel is now a like Bahrain. They also built the Leonardo satellite used in cyber attack. Netanyahu getting the boot is good indicator.
