There is this document from the masons about their "International Peace Garden" which straddles the Manitoba-NorthDakota border area:
The International Peace Garden is 2,339 acres situated on the border between Manitoba and North Dakota, on the longest north-south road in the world and almost at the geographic centre of North America. It was dedicated on July 14, 1932 and has become a living monument symbolizing the two nations living in harmony along the longest unfortified boundary in the world.

Now, the International Peace Garden is about 200km west-southwest of Winnipeg, so I'm not sure precisely where the masons consider the "geographical center of North America" to lie. But it seems they regard it to be in that general vicinity.
