We are experiencing a ‘pandemic’ of pharmaceutical ads.

There is absolutely a blitzkrieg of pharmaceutical ads. For practically every show on cable tv channels, 7 or 8 out of every 10 ads is for an ever expanding array of prescription pharmaceuticals.....you see a new one pop up just about every day. What's really interesting is that most of these are monoclonal antibody drugs....immune system effectors. I'm canceling my cable permanently. It's ludicrous that you pay a couple hundred dollars per month for cable and then you have to sit and watch this B.S. The idea used to be that you go to the doctor, they do the diagnosis and prescribe whatever they decide that you need...that's why they make the fat stacks.
Don’t bother with canceling cable…I dropped the u-verse three months ago and subscribed to hulu+tv and there is ZERO difference in the amount of pharma ads. We already proved ourselves to be a nation of compliant, mask wearing hypochondriacs.
To me, every time I see these ads, I think of how much these companies are paying to control the narrative of television. We cannot buy their products without them being prescribed by a doctor, that should be Pharma's target audience through medical journals and direct marketing if sales is their real motivation. Obviously, money is not their number 1 objective, they want the power and control. In my opinion whoever controls Pharma also controls the media. The likes of Fauci and Gates and their culling of the herd.
One would think we're supposed to see these ads and then rush down to the local Doc-In-A-Box and say "Gee doc...I'd really like to try some of that "Skyrizi" for my lumbago issues..."
Yeah, like anyone can even get in to see a doctor within a month or two. Around here, doctors leave frequently and before being able to change any meds or anything you must have a $200 "consult" to meet the new doc. I know this by having a family member I frequently take to appointments. I myself gave up on the "medical community" long ago.
As the ads get toward the end a list of bad & possible horrible side effects is read.... Then...................but is so & so right fo you? . A s k y o u r doctor[and ya can see big pharma's drug reps come in whilst there]
This is actually one of my biggest pet peeves. I brought it up to my doctor once like who would ever do that and she said people ask her for specific drugs all the time. It's so crazy!
