I was getting food after listening to Trump speak, by the time i got near the capitol we had alresdy heard flashbangs going off. When we got closer there was more of exactly this, they shot into the crowd indiscriminately with flashbangs and tear gas, then pepper sprayed the crowd along the barriers. Not at specific threats, just generally at the crowd. At the time we thought it was super ridiculous, i literally said they shouldnt poke the bear, people werent doing anything and the quickest way to make a friendly crowd upset is attack them for no reason. In hind sight that was the exact plan they had for the day. They were trying to provoke a retaliation. It wasnt about crowd control it was about whipping up a response from a friendly crowd.
I wouldn't call the crowd "friendly". How about we call them "mostly peaceful"... kek j/k... seriously, I think "non-violent" is a better word. No one in that crowd was in a friendly mood, at least not towards our failure of a Congress. They just weren't ready to actually riot. They wanted to be heard.
You're right though its clear the police attacked them to purposely rile them up.
Yea I agree. We werent happy. But we werent there in opposition to the cops for sure. I went to show my President i supported him. I went to show our representatives I cared. I actually left my family at home because last DC event Antifa attacked people as they separated and I just assumed they would again. Little did we know Antifa would be there, just dressed like us. Funny how there wasnt antifa attacking patriots.....for once. That is telling in and of itself. I wasnt there to be friendly but we didnt go to riot or loot or burn anything. And I sure as hell didnt go to fight with the cops. I just wanted to be there and also to actually see the truth happen because we know that was is said and reported isnt it. You make good points though, I agree
