Most of the women's soccer team turned to face the American Flag when the anthem was being played by the military hero.
However, some of the women were still facing the military hero as he was playing the anthem on the harmonica, so they were facing him, not the flag.
Afterwards the team thanked him and shook his hand for being there to play the anthem for them.
Facts are needed. I'm open to hearing other people's facts too.
I just don't want people to blame others based on a misconception.
I saw the entire video, and that is in fact what happened. Some players faced the flag, while some stayed facing the military hero playing the anthem. I didn't see any intentional disrespect from either group. Other than not placing their hand over their heart.
That is exactly true. There were TWO flags, one was at the end of the stadium, the other was brought in for the national anthem. Half the team turned and saluted the flag at the end of the field.
Look at the picture and tell me who we should be mad at, the girl who is clearly saluting or the girl facing forward?
Hang on a moment.

If that is true I definitely owe them an apology.. never want to wrongly accuse anyone !!
Yea I mean there's several reasons to not support them, this wasn't it.
A group of 15yr old boys playing against them would be my reason, lolz. That's all I got.
This post is still up though. And that's what happened. Every second you don't delete it, you impugn them further.
So....

The ones supposedly turning away had their hands on their hearts 🧐
Yeah something looks off. I retract my opinion.
