And you can be sure that the people tasked with going door-to-door are some low-level peons that are just looking for a paycheck. They will either 1) think they are empowered to force people to answer their questions and have no problem trampling on your rights, 2) quit shortly after finding out that literally everyone that they encounter hates their guts or 3) realize this job sucks balls and they'll quit either during or upon completion of the training program.

Having worked for the Census, I know how these operation are run. My advice if they come to your house: answer the door, tell them you just moved here (Important part of the story, their information is for the people that USED to live here, not for you and your family), and that you and everyone that lives here has been vaccinated (technically not a lie if you have ever been vaccinated for anything) Offer no other information (cite privacy concerns) and tell them you have some important things to take care of and don't have any more time to discuss. Be polite and they will believe you. That should get you off their list. If you don't answer or tell them to GTOMP, you will be kept on the list and a more persistent person will come back in short order.
