Data is such a mess it will never be straightened out. Remember the first people vaccinated were the high risk. They already had less of a life expectancy and as time passed they had less. I suspect some part of this excess mortality, not much, is due to higher risk patients. It should become clearer soon as there is a bigger vaccinated group.
While true that there is bias in the risk v. vaccine status, it is also true that the data for the earlier variants does not show this particular bias (at least not according to past data. There is no current data on this in this report).
Also I want to amend my previous statement. If you add in the confirmed and "Probably" Delta cases the death rate is TWELVE times more in the original.
At what point does this become so ludicrous that even the most asleep will be able to see reality?
The data says its less lethal. It also says its more lethal for vaccinated(page 17), even though its really low for both.
Their data suggests the Delta variant is 7 times less lethal than the original, and 2.5 times more deadly for the vaccinated.
Hard to push a narrative with such blatant numbers, but they still will!

Perhaps that's the goal.
