Other things about this region to check out: Calhoun's (BBQ, steaks, prime rib ...several locations), 35North (eating establishment with food trucks), hiking in the Smoky Mtn. National Park, and many other attractions... Clarence Brown Theater, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, country music venues, etc. It's a good place to live. No state income tax, low property tax, and such.

I want to hike the blue mountains and maybe just go get lost in them for a week. I love that idea. Wish I could say I am ready to buy a house! I will be but I am going to be having a baby in Feb and we are saving our money for that now lol no downpayment yet but almost 100% out of debt now.
Become familiar with the Expo Center on Clinton Hwy.... that's where they have gun shows about every two months. Pretty good sized ones too.
