Only the blindest of the blind and the numbest of the dumb are informed by the mainstream media at this point. Sadly they are many.
I would argue that many simply arenโt on the internet, and have never had an alternate point of view other than MSM.
Itโs not that they are dumb or stupid, and I donโt think we should think of them that way, or portray them that way, but thatโs just me.
(Sorry, it just hurts when I see these types of comments, and then look at my lovely, diligent, deeply patriotic, Christian, more-conservative-than-us parents, and also aunts, uncles, and cousins, and all of their friends.)
They made a conscious decision to not submit themselves to the cesspool that is the internet. That does not make them dumb or stupid or chucks or people who donโt care. They do care, deeply.
I think this is more true than people realize. Not everyone wants - or has - access. A lot of the people who decided to leave the urban areas and work in much less populated areas have had problems with connectivity, speed, especially with everything becoming so heavily focused on video, especially in areas with few options for service. The idea that everyone is hyper connected is just not true. My MIL lives in the heart of SV and she does not have a computer, no cable. Just an antenna for TV. She reads a lot. She isn't ignorant. In some ways, I think she is better off.
