My office has the following policy regarding vaccines:
-
You had to attest in the company's system whether you are (a) fully vaccinated or (b) Not vaccinated and/or choose not to disclose
-
If you are fully vaccinated, you can come into the office and not wear a mask
-
If you are not fully vaccinated, you have to take a self-administered covid test every day. Only if you are negative, you can come into the office and still must wear a mask the entire day and social distance
I find all three of these policies completely retarded and not sure what to do about it. So far I attested "no/do not disclose". I certainly am not self testing every day. And I sure as shit won't wear a mask in the office if I am negative. Makes no fucking sense. Should I get a lawyer?
i would talk with coworkers and get a feel for the policy and see what you can do in tandem with their actions but do it TOGETHER.
have a backup for potential employment termination/choosing to leave. there are plenty of companies that have the policies up for show and dont really care about them (i understand this is highly dependent on your specific situation in life.)
you could get really agro about it and do a 14th amendment type of equal treatment under the law kind of suit/anti-discrimination thing (this could also be done with co-workers and give the company an ultimatum.)
it reduces productivity and can be expensive for a business to replace workers. if a BUNCH go at once that can be really tough and set off a chain reaction that really breaks it maybe even destroys it.
im at the point where if a business is colluding with the State they need to be called out, shamed, and then lose their strong workers.
this strategy could also out the weak ppl in the company and could make them leave would be really ideal i guess.
