I suspect there are lots of skeletons, trauma and psychological damage in the average psychopath as a result of unresolved self-discovery emanating from various types of childhood abuse. One of my earliest best friends was extremely troubled growing up on account of being caught and beaten by his father in a harmless but clearly homosexual clinch as a young 5 year old boy in the 70s. This damaged him for life. He was medicated for depression in the 80s when the psycho-medical industrial complex knew very little about depression or the pharmaceuticals to treat it. He committed suicide in the early 2000s.
