Fren in CA - I searched for a post about this but couldn't find one here, so I'm posting. The article is a few days old. If I were there, I would attend, but I'm in OH. $45 is pretty reasonable for admission. FYI, and God bless all of you. :)
Ya' know, if that summit was a Leftist bunch of women (or wymen or wemyn or whatever they call themselves) no male would have been invited to speak at all. Toxic Masculinity and all that, ya' know.....
Agreed - they're out of their minds. We conservative women aren't constantly trying to be at odds with our (or any) men. Living by the Bible helps with that. And that's not because our men don't piss us off; quite the contrary. When I feel my husband is difficult to deal with, I literally go to Peter 3. At the end of the day, I'm more concerned with having a happy marriage and life than being proven right.
Guys in my AA group who are married have a saying...Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?
LOL wise guys! They have a point and I think it goes both ways. I'm all for being a liberated woman - I am glad I have the right to vote, to own land, my own car, etc. and am able to work outside the home. Some men don't honor their obligations and put women in the position of having to fend for herself, and that's where I was before I met my wonderful husband. But this feminism bullshit is destroying our society. Men aren't always wrong, women aren't always right, nobody is perfect. So in the end, I'd rather be happy. :)
I just watched his 1974 movie, "Conrack" last night. Excellent flick.
Yeah he's one of the good guys - he's very outspoken as to his dissatisfaction with the state of things in our country, and doesn't seem to cower to the powers that be, nor bend over for china, like the other celebrities selling out our country. I wish there were more like him in hollywood. That movie is before my time but I'll look for it.
