Actually, you are correct. You can go there now and ask anyone with a USSS uniform if it is policy to turn light off. Then ask them how long that has been the case. So yeah, you absolutely can go there. Was that you that i had this convo with 5 months ago? I was trying ro see the white house on Jan 5th when I flew into DC for the rally. The lights were off and I asked a unifomed USSS officer then and they said every night. I could have swore he said 10, but i guess it was 11.
I think it was me, LOL. It may be the box stock response from USSS. My friend was on the front line during the siege and he said they knocked out the lights and went to red w/ IR illumination so the CAT could use their NODs.
