Basically, Windows 11 is making people unhappy with how it affects older computers and increased spyware. As such, many are considering the jump to Linux. Some YouTubers are even starting to promote Linux such as that Linus Tech Tips guy. Additionally, Valve's new 'Steam Deck' also runs a fork of Linux called Steam OS which might push developers to support Linux natively. With all of this in mind, I've started to see some threads pop up on 4Chan that are seriously considering the possibility of Microsoft's monopoly on PC gaming being overthrown. If gamers begin switching to Linux like this, it might domino into the general public jumping ship as well. If this ends up being the case, Microsoft is in for a rocky ride.

The spyware is definitely concerning, but Windows is just too useful despite it's floors. I use Linux for scientific computing, however in the future I might consider running it as a primary OS and just have Windows purely for entertainment and specialized software. A lot of commercial software would need to make the jump to Linux to convert me completely.
