EO vaporizes at 56 degrees and the kits are not refrigerated so if there was EO on the swab it would evaporate immediately. When EO is used to sterilize things it's used as a gas because it reaches hard to reach places found on or in certain medical devices like catheters.
EO is used to sterilize about half the medical devices worldwide because it doesn't damage the equipment like moist or dry heat would for, in this case, cotton swabs. It's also used to sterilize wound packing cotton, are we going to freak out about that as well?
You would also need long term or occupational exposure to EO to develop cancer from it.
This guy just found that EO is toxic, which it is, and without any logical thinking immediately leaps to "they are poisoning us through the swabs," even though it's a gas at room temperature, and wouldn't be useful to poison anyone especially as a swab in your car.
How can you swab a gas onto someone? Makes no sense.
Nice information. I'm proud of you.
