He's in his 50s. Not looking for advice on how to shame him, just trying to help him survive. I'm already planning to give him a dump of Ivermectin information.

Blood thinners- both short term through an Iv, but also long term oral anti coagulants.
There are special catheters that specialize in removing the clots through vacuum and mesh baskets.
A special mesh filter can be placed in his inferior Vena Cava to keep lower extremity clots from migrating up to the heart, lungs, or brain.
