Kind of a stupid question, but does Google have a public service for registering domain names on their 8.8.8.8 server? I use 8.8.8.8 as a fallback for my Dnsmasq server, but i've never had the impression that was a DNS server that anyone can make new domains on.
Okay then, McAfee hosting the domain name and server on Google services wouldn't make a lot of sense. Granted the [DS] can still block other services, but it seems like a really bad idea to host a dead man's switch right on Google's servers.
The question is who is the honey pot for? I can't imagine there's too much information the [DS] could get from a list of IP addresses accessing their site.
The highest possibility option I can think of is that some anon did it as a joke, to see if the Deep State would ddos their own servers?
