I just love how they kept themselves from either boiling with temperature in the sunlight of 260f and from freezing in -280f in shadow. It must have been the bank of 1960's/70' batteries, that today can make a car drive 300 miles without a charge as long as you don't use the air con or radio too much.

No, the temperature's during a spacewalk although extreme are no way near anything like the temperature's supposedly encountered on the moon. Two of the supposed ways they tell us was the spacesuits were designed to deflect 90% of the heat away (they don't tell us exactly how, was it because they were white, the logic here makes no sense because they would have the opposite effect in shadow) oh and somehow the boots deflected the heat away as well. It's +280f in sunlight and -260f in shadow - really!
What powered the PLSS? Batteries? On Apollo 15 J mission they were on the ground for 18hrs, but somehow they had super duper advanced batteries that powered the PLSS for that long! Did they recharge them with a USB on the side of the lander? My Iphone just about lasts for 18 hours and it ain't saving my life running a cooling system or oxygen to breath.
In 1960/70's the battery tech was that good yet the lunar rover was powered by two 36v silver/zinc batteries, and took the rover 17 miles on one mission - on two 36v batteries! C'mon man.
