Don’t do it. Get a religious exemption if you can, and let them fire you if they want to. Apply for unemployment, and contribute to the overburdening of your employer to find decent staff - the job shortage will do the rest.

Unfortunately, merely claiming a religious exemption isn’t legally enough. Your employer is welcome to say that you’re full of shit if they believe that your actual objection to the vaccine isn’t actually religious, even if it’s passionate and sincere.

There's some context in this case that is important. The reason the employee, in the link, was terminated and it was upheld was that his argument against the flu shot was not religious. He claimed a religious exemption, but in his essay stated the reason was "because the vaccine does more harm than good" - not a religious reason.
On the other hand, refusing to take a COVID vaccine for religious reasons, such as because aborted fetal cells are used to make the vaccine and one's religion believes strongly against abortion, IS a religious reason, and should still be upheld. I believe if the employee who sued had used aborted fetal cells as his argument, he would not have lost the case.

I can't say what any company would or would not accept as a reason. It might be worth a try!
Then you’ll be asked to prove that fetal cells are in the COVID vaccines and you’ll hit a wall, because COVID vaccines don’t contain fetal cells.
What they have used are fetal cell lines, which are extremely different. These are cells that are distant descendants of fetal cells from half a century ago. The cells they’re using now have never been a part of a fetus.
They were grown in a lab with the same genetic information, but they are not fetal cells. It’s more accurate to say they’re clones of scientifically-ancient fetal cells.
And only the J&J vaccine actually uses fetal cell lines in the production of the vaccine. Pfizer and Moderna do not.
So a religious objection to using a vaccine containing fetal cells will be upheld, and then found not to apply to the COVID vaccine since fetal cells are legally and realistically different than fetal cell lines. And only one of the Big Three actually uses them.
And proving a religious exemption to a fetal cell line that has never been aborted or belonging to any human life ever is going to be challenging.
Or say it changes how the Lord made you in his Vision.
You make good points. I wasn't actually advocating for that as a reason, I just meant to use it as a random example.
My point still stands though, that if one can come up with a religious reason that could take hold, a religious exemption could still apply. No, I don't know off hand what that reason might be, I was just clarifying some context about the case that was linked.

I’m aware, but I also know of two states where the medical exemption does still apply as far as employment goes. Regardless - still not a reason not to get one if you are able.
Even if it’s useless at present in your state - The point of having it - Is to have more ammunition than you need when legal justice is administered.
Having every Avenue for attack available should be the first and foremost goal of everyone willing to take the risk in defying poisonous employers.
Losing one’s job can be a horrific thing - preparing for every possibility, preemptively, is a route I must say everyone at risk should take.
Even if I believe it is the mark of the beast or precursor? It is def against my religion to take the mark.
That’s a question for your lawyer. Having a personal religious interpretation that isn’t shared by a formal religion is a hard sell.
Remember that regardless of what you personally believe, the justification backed by the experts right now for vaccination is that it’s a public health hazard to be unvaccinated.
So essentially, pretend like you’re trying to argue for the right to have a religious fire pit in your cubicle. It’s dangerous, and creates a significant problem for your company, but it’s also being claimed as religious.
If you can figure out an argument that would permit you for religious reasons to start fires in your indoor workplace, then you might have an argument that protects you from a mandatory vaccine.
