It doesn't matter how bad or obvious the acting was, left-leaning people and even a lot of moderate republicans haven't actually watched a full speech or hearing or anything like that. They have, however, developed a method of news aggregation from only main stream sources. So they won't watch the bad acting but they'll hear all about the sincere and honest tears from Cuomo and Lemon.
