FWIW swollen legs can also be caused by blood clots (DVT) My mother had swelling issues, pre-covid-insanity, and took awhile for drs to figure out it was clots and not heart failure. Ultrasound of the veins in the legs can show clots if that's the problem and blood thinners may treat it. Hope your grandma's condition improves.🙏
She said the diuretics helped. I call her usually once a week unless something is bothering her. She’s doing well, went to a casino with a bunch of her group. So all seems ok but it was a brand new problem and I don’t know how much she went through getting tests. But thank you. She’s the last grand parent. She’s someone I admire a lot. Her energy, work ethic, faith. Always the optimist but not afraid to call out BS. I see how my dad turned out the way he did with such a good mom.
Same to you! I learned a lot from her in the Marine Corps. I learned the value of the snail mail letter- boy were they gifts, especially from her since she wrote me the most. But from day one, sitting on my foot locker in boot camp, writing to family was the only method of communication and I truly was grateful for at least that. I learned a lot about her thru letters. She’s been through a lot of wars and scary shit. Always bringing things into perspective. Anyway, very off topic but for anyone reading, send your grandma/pa a card or letter. You have no idea how much they appreciate it. You’ll probably get one back!

So glad to hear the diuretics are helping her. We can all learn a lot from the older generation. God bless you both.
