Kroger’s massively Woke, hoping they go BROKE.

Don’t shop that shit show. They are almost all sack and checkout yourself. They can go away.
Waiting for a business to advertise, “Partnership with Christ!”
I moved last year from urban blue to rural Red state. Gotta drive 30 miles to food stores. Anyway we have 2 choices here for food stores and I’ll quickly outline differences.
1). Kroger’s; I have family in Cincinnati (Kroger’s Central) and used to like all their choices, variety etc. Once I moved here (mid plandemic) I was glad one choice was them. Last couple months especially that’s changed. Like so many Corporations that bent knee to marxism they’re INTENTIONALLY (don’t wanna get into supply chain issues see #2) keeping stocks low. Their employees are the most unhelpful, miserable pack of asshats you don’t want fingering your food. I judge a store by their deli. Usually there’s ONE person manning the windows while four or five bullshit within eyeshot. All salads etc mass produced elsewhere, not made in store. Fruits & Veggies are minimized now and quality is in shitter. Spoken to manager about stocking certain items and claimed it’s all outside third party concessions. Main issue is the miserable employees; I’ve boycotted them and most in neighborhood have done same as most have noticed same.
2). Competition (not naming); Always been a family oriented company it’s totally non-Woke. Variety a little less but quality is there and they got what I need. Employees a complete JOY to interface with. Deli is mostly handmade and the back kitchen is constantly full-tilt work...no standing around.
I may go back to Kroger’s one more time just to raise a ruckuss but I’d probably end up in the hoosgow.
I work at one of these grocery stores in Colorado. They bought out the King Soopers chain, who I hear treated their employees well, but now that the old guard is all gone things have progressively gotten worse.
The people I work with have found themselves stuck and are just trying to keep themselves afloat financially, and most see clearly what's been going on with Covid. There's a few dems in there, but nobody pushes the vax we distribute in the store, only that you have the option.
We're now seeing a major crunch from their labor management, slashing hours district-wide in order to make their bonus. Meanwhile, new applicants are slim to none, and good help is even harder to find. At the same time, we spent the past year in crisis mode, and inadvertently proving to corporate that we can do more with less. It's now become standard, it seems, and we're hurting sorely from it.
We're hemorrhaging people, good people. Long-time workers retiring, some others finding better paying jobs though I know one who just straight up abandoned ship, for unemployment I presume. I don't blame any of them.
I joined to help my community through the covid scare, and I see that my work is done, but as much as I hate the company, our neighbors don't deserve that. Most of them are just here for food. I'm not tied to my job, but that sense of duty is keeping me back until I get a replacement. One is on the way now.
I tend to be they fly on the wall for some of the stuff coming down. I don't know how much I can say or is wise to let out, but worse is coming. And when it comes, I can at least tell you this store is set up to be ENTIRELY LOST. Don't you dare let up on the pressure.
I see some of you saying you don't want to work for woke companies, and that's fine. But don't think we who do work here are fully in agreement with that. There is damage to be done as a customer, and havok to wreak as an employee. Together we can leave them riven.
Of course, don't expect they don't know that. That's why the purge in military is going on, after all.
It’s a color revolution fought on many fronts. Food and it’s availability to the 99% of us who aren’t self-sufficient is a point of fear and rightly so. It sux about the store, but most corps slash for bonuses at mgt level leaving a decimated shell of companies. Been going-on everywhere for a while. Only the biggest survive BUT my point being…if the big boys go Woke, they’re just lighting a nuke on their ship vs a slow bleed. Wokeness will kill America unless a huge reversal ideologically happens.
I loved Kroger for being a Midwest company and then their wokeness started shining through. I have sold my investment in Kroger.
I really hope they turn it around and don’t force feed alternative lifestyles as the mainstream.
Their employees are miserable. Liberalism is a mental disorder that requires company…ie groupthink. Always gets worse.
