The truth is far more scary than that. Virology is completely junk science.
Virology redefined the meaning of "isolation". No virus has ever actually been isolated in a lab. What they call "isolation", is in fact fabrication of dead/damaged/foreign organic matter, which they then record interesting looking parts of under an electron microscope, without ever isolating anything at all. Various virologists have proven this, by recreating identical images using uncontaminated control samples which never contained any virus. The inventor this method of "isolation" proved it himself decades ago, and then just ignored the results.
Virology also redefined what it means to sequence a gnome. They have never actually fully sequenced any virus, which should be obvious at this point, since they wouldn't be able to do that without first isolating a virus. Instead, what they do is take a very short sequence from random particles, and then use mental/computational algorithms to fabricate the rest of the sequence. That's why they have never been able to recreate the same sequence independently, or from any other sample, without using a template created from the initial sequence they fabricated.
