This reminds me of the animated film, Wall-e. Difference is, Wall-e ends with a hopeful message about the human spirit. Plus the whole thing is hilarious and a send up of our culture. And a heroes journey. The chubby seat floating screen watching citizens are not afraid to return to earth and face the challenge.
The human spirit can be distracted, but not broken.
