Sure, but they're getting your DNA with the swab too. So they can sequence your genome with it and we would have no idea.

Im sure we’d hear from lab technicians if they were DNA testing swabs or doing anything other than throwing them away after done with them. You realize how many labs are running these tests? Sorry, but I’m for more sensible theories.
