Put your energy and complaints else where and get involved, it’s the only way to change it. Most teachers want in person learning and the union doesn’t represent all of them. Also the CDC is saying close schools and the union, it’s only a recommendation and the CDC lost all creditability. Most schools are going strictly on mandates only. They’re also looking for your input and meeting with staff and parents about the return of school in the fall.

we shouldnt have to! its your jobs, not ours. we pay your salaries! so what youre saying is that because the teachers union is corrupt, its up to us the parents to make sure you are doing your jobs correctly? how about this... we disband the teachers union and public schools all together? youre fired! hows that sound? we the tax payers shouldnt have to worry whether or not the teachers are commie scum, pedos, or plan to lethal inject our children behind our backs! this is your fight more so than ours, you need to be out there fighting for your job, not the other way around.
You’re missing the point, but ok...
am i? this has been going on for years and now all of a sudden its up to us to fight back? no, i think YOU are missing the point. you could have spoken out sooner, you could have raised a red flag about these issues sooner but instead collected your paychecks and did nothing. now, that the school systems are being exposed you want us to come fight your battle? at this point we have no choice but to fight this because you cowards did nothing for 50 years. this was all done behind the parents backs.
I’m new to this field sooo...seems like you guys should have started the fight years ago. Literally just graduated...entering the field now. Haven’t collected many paychecks at all so don’t categorize me as some old washed up hag. I can list all the reasons why public education has failed me and I choose to be a teacher to make a change in the system. Attacking and blaming all teachers isn’t helping this cause.
no, it isnt but your speaking to someone with an absolute disgust and 30 years of contempt for the public school system. im not attacking you personally, its more of a im pissed at the whole situation... and rightfully so. you are right though, at this point we the parents have to fix this whether it be banding together with "good" teachers or burning it all to the ground and starting over. one way or another though, there is a reckoning coming soon.
