You're right...doctors won't mention any of this. I heard most of this stuff from my chiropractor many years ago. He is still the healthiest person I know.
I learned of the importance of body alkalinity from a chiropractor as well. I sublet office space in his decked-out penthouse. Drinking alkalized water all day and taking UV saunas in the evening, I really felt at my healthiest and most energized.. I would love to invest in an ionic water alkanizer, but too expensive for now. I use tri-salt bicarbonates (calcium/magnesium/potassium) to raise the pH of my heavily filtered or distilled water. Cloudy, but doesn't taste chalky.
Wow that's a great routine to have! I used the same chiropractor for 20 years and today he still looks like he did in 1998 when I had my first appointment. He explained pH balance to me after I asked about drinking apple cider vinegar every day; something my grandpa used to do.
