I tried to tell people that the vaccine was only meant to lower your symptoms, prevent hospilization, and death not prevent you from getting it or spreading it. I had one woman in my parent group try to prove I was wrong with articles and I responded with like mayo clinic facts. So, they never claimed the vaccine would prevent you from getting it, just to help you fight it. When people argue with me about why I should just get it, I always say, if this virus is so contagious and deadly and we just don't know what long term effects their will be if you catch it, why would I take a vaccine that doesn't prevent me from getting it, but prevents me from knowing I have got it and then could spread it to others. I don't understand this. The response is, I would take the chance with the vax. I so badly want to tell my husband's family, told you so.....but I won't.
