Certainly the staffing would take a huge hit if we all stayed strong and they actually fired us. So yeah, hopefully they back off. But firing us could coincide with another lockdown come this fall which would again push us to virtual visits, increased testing to block patients from coming in, blocking of half the parking lot, etc.
True. Though I don't think the next lockdown will be taken nearly as seriously. They had diminishing returns all throughout 2020 until you couldn't even tell Inslee had rolled us back near the end.
People stopped being as fearful and Kaiser wanted their money.
Regardless, I'll probably end up doing the same as you - waiting to see if they come at me after the deadline and then presenting a religious exemption. Nice to see I'm not alone on here.
Cool, yep - very glad to hear. My colleagues got the shot but are against the mandate. I also know at least one MA in the PACU who isn't getting the shot. She told me there are others. I know you probably want to keep your identity private, but I am a guy who walks around the stairwells and hallways away from areas with patients often with no mask on or down to my mouth or chin. If you want to meet up sometime, reply to my "private" message.
