I have friends who work at the hospital where he was originally admitted. They story goes. He was there for a week. Progressively got worse to the point of organ failure.
It states "LSU Health Shreveport Chancellor G.E. Ghali said Letlow died from a heart attack following a procedure related to the infection."
From what I have heard from local sources, because his body was shutting down they transferred him to LSUS. There he was connected to ECHMO. Which resulted in an infection and his body just could not fight any longer.
