Don't matter what you had , you did not have a right to carry a gun period, there was never a right in the 1st place it was never written into the constitution , the right to own a gun has not changed if all you want is an emtional hit in owning a gun go out and buy one, if you have a licence that right has not been taken away.
That starts going into a religious debate because of the "God given" part that is referenced in the American one but sure constitutionally in Australia its not written. Damn shame about that too, and no one seems to care about getting a bill of rights in the general public of Australia either
