I think so, too. I think red states with R governors that aren't RINOs will just ignore the whole thing. The one thing I like about this mess is that it's causing some state governments to reclaim their sovereignty, and that's a good beginning.
Thank goodness Abbott is still on his redemption tour in TX and stated he would not do it. i keep wondering what the hell will happen when some of us are locked down while they watch others not be. gonna get hot & spicy
Since Abbott and DeSantis are constantly making statements in the news, they and their states will be targeted. I live in Missouri, and never had statewide lockdowns or mask mandates, though the major metropolitan areas did. In the past couple weeks KC, St. Louis City and St. Louis County all made noises about re-implementing mask mandates, and the state AG said he was going to sue them. St. Louis County dropped that idea posthaste, though I haven't heard about the other two. Then this week the governor pardoned the McCloskeys. All of that and hardly a notice in the MSM, I think partly because we're in flyover country and deemed not to matter, but also because the governor does things quietly and without fanfare. The only thing that might generate some notice is if a bunch of Midwest states ignore the mandate, or if half (or maybe more) of the states ignore it.
Hello fellow Missouri fren! Always happy to find another Missouri patriot on here. I am in the thick of it here in STL County… unfortunately most businesses around here are following the stupid mandate even though the County Council voted to take it down.
Love your name! Hedgehogs are so cute.
Thanks for your post! I'm always glad to find another MO resident. I've seen a couple others on here. I'm now in SW Missouri north of Springfield in a very red, very rural county (past 20 years), but I grew up 50 miles west of St. Louis and worked/lived in the St. Louis area for 17 years. So glad I got out of there and I feel for you.
