I no longer have time to do these things myself, so I entrust these responsibilities to someone not as far along as I am.
This will only work if everyone has been taught the same things since birth, and have the same promise to one day be the one getting to outsource the most basic of our own duties.
No matter what we do or say, we can only depend on ourselves. Basic human function and behavior confirms this.
To relegate our most basic duties out, is to open ourselves up to being outsmarted, bc we didn’t want to take care of our own dirty work, and justifying why it is okay to put that off on anyone else.
It really is simple, and something the Amish learned way back before anyone even knew who they were.
And in that same vein, it is actually a thing among them to go through the trash of someone who does not burn their trash, (leaves it for trash collectors) if you need something to find and hold against them. That defines today’s politics in a nutshell.
Does not give me hope for humankind, sadly. We’re way too big for our own britches, as my very elderly elders would say. We want to excuse why we do certain things, while justifying the punishment of others who try to emulate us.
