Trump has called a lot of men a 'terrific guy' or a 'nice guy'. When you're in business (or politics), there's no point in alienating people when you don't have to. And, IIRC, Trump was well spoken of by the attorney that prosecuted Epstein the first time around because Trump aided that prosecutor in making his case.
