*** PUBLIC AWARENESS / NOTICE ***
Elements of U.S. Army Special Operations Command will be conducting routine military training at Naval Support Activity, Crane, Indiana 9-21 August 2021.
The Soldiers will use training ammunition and other training devices to make the exercise as real as possible. There will be periods of increased air traffic to include low-flying helicopters, tilt-rotor aircraft, and airplanes during hours of darkness. The community can expect to experience an increase in air traffic and noise associated with a large-scale airborne operation.
This is routine military training conducted periodically to maintain a high level of readiness for the military personnel involved. Every measure to reduce the amount of noise associated with the training will be taken.
We appreciate the support of the residents and community in the surrounding areas during this training.

How common is this?
I know there's a long clip on YT of some pretty cool SOF exercise in Miami, and there was that incident where seemingly un-planned / un-announced SOF were doing all sorts of crazy shit in downtown Los Angeles a couple years back....
Could really be training, or could obviously be cover for a real OP.....who knows..
ive asked a few from the area and they havent heard of anything like this..but thats not to say it hasn't happened
the facility they were training at has been there for decades..
So there's a big SOF training facility there at Crane Indiana?
Because that's the other thing I was going to say is that "crane indiana" sounds like a hella random place for some secret squirrels to do their thing, LOL!
its actually a weapons testing facility
Oh boy, it's too bad Crane is a few hours south of me, I'd be interested to see what goes on.
Me too…just a few hours south!
