The plunger of the syringe has weight markings. Also, at the top of the plunger, the white ring turns and can be moved, then locked in place on the desired weight. I'm 150 lbs so I went 3 notches, locked the ring, pushed until it stopped, then scraped it off with a butter knife into a glass of water.
