Interesting... I wonder why my phone (and my wife's) was exempt from the EMS? Anybody know?

UPDATE: almost half an hour later and STILL nothing. Maybe the government has granted my long-term wish TO SIMPLY BE LEFT ALONE!!

The story we got was because we were under a severe weather alert, their alert wouldn’t or couldn’t go through.
