Kinda reminds me of the Flynn case. If Sullivan had just accepted the plea deal Flynn would have been convicted. Since he couldn't do that, Powell got involved and pushed for more Brady material that revealed severe corruption in the FBI going as far up as Obama. Hopefully this is a repeat.
