most hospitals are given guidance by CMS and the Joint Commission. I've been diving into their COVID resources and they are both recommending CDC guidance. There are tons of organizations that are corrupt and even the OIG is giving them waivers so they aren't liable for anything nefarious they are doing, as long as they follow the clinical guidlines. It's a bunch of bullshit.
