My brother-in-law is a warrant officer and he and some buddies are trying for a religious exemption. Not too hopeful that will work, though. I’m sure most chaplains have been briefed not to issue them.
One of my coworkers was denied a religious exemption but we are able to appeal. She/he was indignant and furious so the appeal went something like this, who the hell are you to question my relationship with God, it worked, exemption was granted.
