Yeah technically at the end he was captured by them and was about to be put to death and he was reasoning things like: "I see now, i was fighting the vampires thinking they ere the anomalies, but i am the anomaly, i am the one that needs to be removed. I am the one that will be the stories of superstition. i am legend"
