That might depend, honestly. They clearly haven't taken the time to question why people wouldn't want the vaccine. If she's open to listening, then this might be a valuable teaching moment for her. That's lost if you quit anyway.
It doesn't hurt to put more irons in the fire if she's unwilling to listen, but just storming out in anger after she's already backtracked may not be the wisest decision.
It's one thing when it's a faceless HR idiot, or someone with whom you have very little contact, handing you a mandate like this. It's another entirely when it's someone who looks you in the eyes regularly throughout the day, and then gives you an ultimatum in a stern letter instead of talking to you one-on-one.
Someone who would do something like this, after frequent eye contact, is not to be trusted. The barrier to unreasonable demands by Karen-ish delivery has been broken, and even if it didn't work this time, it will happen again. You need a good relationship in such a small office, and the good relationship is gone--because it never really existed.
I think its more egregious that this is a DOCTOR. Granted, a dentist, but sitll educated enough to read and understand this medical maneuvering that is so important it affects the GLOBE. That, THAT, is scary. THAT is not someone who's medical (any) decisions I could trust. No critical thinking is a lack of intelligence. Monkeys can memorize.
Fuck them, showed their true colors. Hand in your resignation anyway.
