I can't find a hill with a building that has a domed roof anywhere. I'm starting to think that either the building is so recent that it isn't the satellite images that Google and Bing maps have, or else the photo wasn't taken in Kabul?
The Bing and Google satellite pics are quite different, with the Bing images appearing to be higher resolution and more recent.
Nice find! The proportions are correct, and the viewing angle seems to work out.
However, if you go into topographical mode, it doesn't seem to be on a hilltop, and the are much taller hills behind it that aren't too far away, and they are not showing up in the picture.
THanks! I thought the same thing the angle is right - but the thing that makes me confused is that there's a massive hospital building right behind it on the map, throwing a huge shadow (which means it's tall) that doesn't show up in the pic. Don't know what that means but thought it was odd

Well the air is very hazy. Perhaps it was just thick enough that everything behind was greyed out.
