Q was clear that the Military is the only way, yet A lot of people were saying the military isn’t on “our” side. Maybe after this shitshow in Afghanistan they will be?

I don't think 'The military' has a unified opinion.
I think our soldiers and sailors loved our President for the most part.
As for the officers, I think is a mixed bunch. There are clearly little fiefdoms of swamp, and they have been using the military to trade in drugs, guns and children.
I would like to think that most of leadership is not involved in that stuff.
I agree, people tend to lump them all in together, like there's a hive mind or something. Most of them aren't in on the plan, at least not yet.
The Old Guard guys are Infantrymen, they know the job of 11B rifleman. I was a paratrooper in the infantry and although I also know the rifleman job, I don't know squat about what the additional Tomb duties of the Old Guard anymore than I know how to rebuild an Apache attack helicopter engine.
