My brother in law is currently in hospital on ventilator. I understand how grim the situation is, I don’t need anyone telling me how low his chances of survival are. I need to know if we have a chance to fight for him, how we can do it. When he was first admitted 2 weeks ago for low oxygen and pneumonia he had been put on antibiotics. He seemed to be improving, then suddenly went downhill shortly after new doctor took over (maybe just a coincidence) but this DR has been an absolute jerk also around the same time he seemed to be taken off antibiotics. Not sure why he was taken off when chest X-rays were showing he was clearing up but not 100% yet. Refuses to discuss his care with her, absolutely won’t do the high dosage vits that frontline drs recommended before he got put on ventilator. She can’t even get a list of medications he is currently on! We have no idea what he’s getting. I fully know what they are doing to him will ultimately kill him. Anyone with any good contacts in Mid Tennessee area that might be able to help my sister with this legal battle would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If he is legally in charge of his own medical care, he can just request a new doctor if he doesn’t like the one he has. You don’t need a lawyer to do that.
If his wife (legally married) is in charge of his care because he’s incapacitated, then she can make that decision unless her husband specifically said otherwise.
