This post is a discussion of alkalinity in your blood and organs. Stomach acid is a whole different ballgame. An antacid will neutralise gastric acid by lowering ph but it is a local effect. Your stomach goes straight back.

Alkalising your blood and organs is a different process, takes time, not instant or local, like an antacid.
