haha as an atheist this made me laugh... tell me what do you think it’s like here to not believe in god? I’m not complaining, I was raised christian, I’m glad this country was founded on its foundation. I just wanted you to think about it, because honestly I have no where else to go... I am alone.
I'm not the OP you're replying to. I am just wondering if you've looked into Spinoza's concept of "God" or have dug into any eastern philosophy on the matter?
I was raised in a Baptist household and was turned away from "God" because I did not agree with the teachings. Eventually some 25 years later I discovered Alan Watts, a spiritual entertainer, and learned from him that there is more than one way to perceive "God". If you got the time and want something mentally stimulating I recommended checking out Alan Watt's Out of Your Mind lecture series.
I found spiritual liberation another way(by accident). I have mourned for Christ and see what he has done, but I do not utilize him as my one and only teacher. Following Christ is Bhakti Yoga, which is just one path to liberation.
The last few months have been very rough on me personally... I’ve thought a lot about everything that is going on, read the theories, and honestly maybe I’m wrong. Personally I’m lost forever regardless, and if I have to spend an eternity in hell for my country to come back... I’m willing.
