What happened to "they don't have the proper permit", "it's not a lawful protest if they're in the streets blocking traffic" and similar comments? Or do those rules only apply when it's BLM protesting (rioting)?
Now, of course, if they applied for the permit and got denied because the corrupt government didn't like the subject of the protest then I'd say fuck it, just do it anyway. And frankly, needing a permit to have a peaceful protest is pretty dumb to begin with but there are some good reasons to, at the very least, alert the correct people at the local level that you're going to be having a protest/large gathering. If the whole government is corrupt though, that all becomes irrelevant and you should just do it anyway. But at least try to do it the right way first, I'd say.
